CAN PROSECUTOR BE SUED BY PEOPLE THEY FRAMED? Source: NPR

The lawyer for the prosecutorial team admits that his clients framed McGhee and Harrington. However, he claims they are immune from prosecution. He believes there are good reasons for prosecutorial immunity, such as preventing a flood of lawsuits. I believe there are good reasons to prosecute willful acts of prosecutors. This would prevent such acts in the future. To avoid baseless lawsuits there should be a high standard, such as willful reckless disregard for the rights of citizens, to allow the prosecution. I think this case does that.

MAINE VOTERS REJECT GAY MARRIAGE. Source NPR

A majority of votes overturned the legislature's approval of gay marriage. The issue is unimportant to me. What is important is the media's bias in favor of gay marriage. Up until the polls closed, just like in CA, the media was reporting that the rejection of gay marriage was going down to defeat. Are the media's pollsters consistently that bad, or are they trying to influence the outcome. This needs to be looked at. People who supported the ban may have not showed up to vote based on these erroneous polls believing the issue was already decided. Same thing happened with the Bloomberg election. The media maintained he had a double digit lead when it turned out to be a much closer race than that. Did the media influence the outcome? Nobody will every know.

Clinton: US wants Israel settlement halt 'forever' Source AP

The title is misleading. If she wanted a halt she could bargain for it. The US sends Israel substantial foreign aid every year. And lets not forget that the settlements are illegal according to the world court and the UN. Instead she praised an offer to restrain but not halt settlements and advised the Palestinians to resume negotiations. Its time for peace, not word games.
